Default 2002 accord 4 banger electrical problem

Hello everyone,
I am having a problem with the accord, as the title states. Basically, my fuse blew out for my entire interior(gauges, courtesy, shifter lights, etc...) and even my tailights do not work, I replaced the necessary fuse, which blew out 5 minutes later, so I assume it is not related to a fuse issue. If anyone could possibly diagnose the problem, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ilya

The most suspicious place for problems would be the tail lights, but you are describing problems with 2 different circuits.
What was the fuse number and it's location, the tail lights don't work when you switch on the lights? Do any of the other lights work, such as sidemarker lights?

Also the EX model has it's very own schematic, could you specify the model?

thank you for the response...it is an lx model. I will find out the fuse number(it was my friends car, and I am posting for him). For sure I know that the tails do not work when they are turned on,
Thanks again,
Ilya

red 10 amp fuse, in position ten on the passenger side in the cabin of the car is the fuse that was replaced.

one easy test you can try is to replace the fuse and start the car (without your foot on the brake) if it starts up and the interior lights etc work fine then press on the brake, if the fuse blows then you know what circut it's related too.... if the fuse blows right away then you're going to have to start testing and tracing the schematics more closely...

if you look at the schematic from the Dude .. you will see that that fuse powers up a lot of circuits.. .. you need to do the eliminating process,, on the red/black wire a short on any of those will cause the fuse to blow... If you are going to diagnose it yourself,, i would buy a circuit breaker so when it shorts it will pop and you can reset it , instead of keep on replacing fuses .. then you can unplug 1 system at a time to locate where the short is at ,,
I would start from unpluging the connector at the combo switch,, if it still blows , there is a short on the red/green wire from the fuse box to combo switch
if it does not blow . that part is ok,, than unplug one system at a time ,, i Know it is a PITA but diagnosing electrical shorts ,need patience and do not skip any steps
