Ok, I'm new to this forum and probably will get a few wise comments about this post. But, I'm looking for an Accord SE or EX, 98 to 2002 to purchase? My question is for you experts, what should I be looking for? All the Vtec'ssound like singer sewing machines at this age. I'm not sure I want the V6. I've located a 2002 SE but it has someissues, cosmetics and the switch for the powerside mirrors will not operate both mirrors upward. Is this a huge cost or is it easy to replace? If you can, I'd stay away from the automatic transmissions in the 1998-2002 models, V6 and I4, because they have a high failure rate. The 4 cylinder engine has plenty of pep, as long as you dont get a DX trim Accord (15 less HP).

The power mirrors on my 99 would not adjust when I got it. I later found out that they use a ball-and-socket type system to move the mirrors and the ***** on the mirror glass simply popped off. This is probably what happened on the one youre looking at.
