2002 Honda Accord

2002 Honda Accord
I have a 2002 Accord. Didn't start though turned over and garage was able to get it started with persistence. Said the problem was some control module, which they replaced. They also did an oil change. Car now starts OK. Now check engine light is on. It is mandatory to get car of this age checked in Ontario prior to re-registering for emissions. Car passed all emission tests but because check engine light is on they failed it. Codes P1259 and P1457 came up. My nephew (not a mechanic) suggested the codes may have come up due to the module and oil change. Suggested I pull "clock back up" fuse and then put back in to clear error check engine light. This worked. Garage tells me that this may look fine but the car fail because now the "ready" indicators on the emission tests will show "not ready". Drove car on highway at least 70 km and the check engine light does not come back on. Does this mean everything is OK?

There's a number of different things that have to be "ready". Not all straight highway driving, so give it some city/suburb driving too. If it doesn't come back on, you're good. Search "readyness-codes" in the DIY section, but the stuff I wrote there is actually for 2003+.
