It was the clok spring. I had it replaced and now everything works. Thanks for the advices.

I have the exact same problem as rolsy posted in this thread. Just received my car back from transmission shop after 2nd rebuild and all controls on steering wheel are out. Steering wheel also makes a rubbing sound when turning wheel at about the 180 rotation point. Is this the same thing? How much does it cost approximately to replace a "clock spring".

It sounds the same....but also as stated in this, they might have forgotten to plug it back in.

I'm not sure of the cost, online dealers are $80~$90....then maybe (guess) and hour of labor?
