2005 accord coupe
my wife has a 2005 accord coupe v6 6 speed, and i think something is wrong with the linkage but honda checks it out and says its fine. my question is it? the car shifts fine in all gears but third when i go to third it feels like its in so i let my clutch out and it grinds , or i have to push it in again, it feels like there is a gear above it. is there problems with the 6 speed tranny or whats up and yes my clutch is all the way in!

RE: 2005 accord coupe
There might be something wrong with the forks that move the collar on the transmission. I would take it to the dealer and have them fix it, this is a warranty issue. If they say that nothing is wrong take one of the techs and ask them if its normal for the trans to grind going into 3rd.

I agree with Agent........
Another thing you can do , if they say that there is nothing wrong, talk to the service manager at the dealer and test drive a similar car have him go with you ,, i am sure they will have 1 or 2 around
if it does not do the same thing ,, DEMAND that they fix the problem on your car

What the Fudge sickle? My dealer is great but I keep hearing all of these horror stories. I would ask to speak to the OWNER of the dealership and explain to him the crappy service you are getting.
My friend in Hawaii just visited the Honda dealer there and they wanted her to BUY AN ACCORD HYBRID without even testdriving it. Said she had to wait 3 months. She goes to the Toyota dealer and she bought the Camry Hybrid after test driving the demo unit they had.
