I recently came into possession of my mother's old 2005 Accord and I'm trying to fix it up to be my new car. The passenger door is stuck in the unlock position and won't lock with the FOB or manually. The lock won't budge and I don't want to try and force it too much for fear of breaking something. I'm also fearful of taking the car anywhere since I can't lock the door and am worried about someone breaking into the car. From reading other threads, I'm guessing it could be the actuator but I'm hesitant to disassemble the door to replace it if that might not be the problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

 

Spray the inside of the latch with something like WD-40 to loosen up anything that is stuck and retry locking the door.
