So, it seems that ppl have this same problem after I googled the issue. My radio would turn on without the key in the ignition when I'm not even in the car. I walked to my car one morning and heard the bass thumping in my car! I looked in and for sure my radio was blasting away. Now even when I power off the radio before I get out of the car, I have seen the display blink on and off. I now have removed the fuse for my radio, to prevent battery drainage. I am considering buying a new head unit with the conversion kit to keep the climate controls. Will this continue to happen after the install?

 

Any advice or knowledge on the subject would be helpful. Thanks.

 

I remember someone here having a similar complaint, but don't remember the solution. Maybe he bought an aftermarket stereo. Maybe he simply never posted back with the final fix. Check also on the A/V Electronics section. User name Keep_Hope_Alive is pretty good with stereo stuff.
