Default 2005 DX Automatic

Guys/gals...just bought a 2005 DX. Love the ride and mileage! I did a search and have not found an answer to a radio problem we have. At night when the lights have been turned on, there is no light illuminating the radio. Its dark. The black lcd is there but you cannot see it due to no backlight of the display. The car is now 5 years old and had 169,000 miles on it. I've read about this problem but have been unable to get a concrete answer as to what the fix is and if its going to be covered or not by Honda. It does not seem to be a fuse issue at first glance as there does not seem to be a fuse specifically for the radio backlight. Anybody else out there have the same problem? Thanks in advance.

If you were a betting man, what do you think my odds would be on Honda covering that??
