Default 2005 LX radio replacement question

I'm having a problem with the radio/CD player in my 2005 Honda Accord LX. After research, I believe this is a somewhat common problem with '03 - '07 factory installed radios. First, the backlight went out, then the radio just started turning on by itself when the car was in the driveway with no key in the ignition. Next, the radio just quit working and will only "restart" when I disconnect and reconnect the battery - and that only works for a few days.

I want to replace it with a used Accord radio/cd player. The one in the car is a single disc player and my car does NOT have the dual zone climate control. Does anyone know if the used radios with a 6-disc changer and SINGLE zone climate controls will fit and work?

Yes, from what I read, the 6 CD stereo and SINGLE zone climate controls will fit and work. If your Accord is a sedan, you need to get one from a sedan. Coupe have a red display. You have to get the CODE for the stereo unit though, to get it to work.

Would it be an easy swap? Got to do this too.

Should be plug and play if you have the radio code and the replacement works.

The code is only needed for the radio.
