2006 Accord 4cylinder Transmission Issues/Codes HELP
So I bought a 2006 Honda Accord from an individual... obviously he had cleared codes before I test drove it. Drove fine- bought it... within 2 days the Check Engine Light came on... I took it to a friend that owns a detail shop, he ran the code and go P0700 and P0848... he cleared the codes and said drive it for a while and see if it comes back on... I drove it one day and about half way thru the day the light came back on... instead of going back to my detail buddy, I just took it to a mechanic...
When that mechanic ran the code, he got an 02 sensor (no 0700 or 0848 at all)... I was excited because that seems less scary... i paid him to replace the 02 sensor and sometime during that replacement he called me back with bad news: he said that there was transmission fluid everywhere and that the dip stick essentially had none on it... with that said, it occurred to me that I had noticed some fluid under my car the day before but assumed it to be the AC water dripping...
Soooooo, as of now, the Accord is still up at the mechanic's... he has filled the transmission fluid for me and told me "maybe just drive it for a few days and lets see..." Well, I've already been down that road...
Any suggestions? Does trans fluid everywhere mean I need to plan for a new transmission???
Thanks for the help guys
