Default 2007 Accord

I just purchased a 2007 accord exl and love it. The only problem I have is that the compartment door under the radio that is in front of the shifter will not stay closed. I think that it is a simple fix, but I need to know how to remove the console to fix it. Also the door that closes over the power adapter will close but will not open all the way up by itself. When you hold it up it will stay but it will not stay up by it self. This to items may be on the same piece. Can anyone please advice me.

If you have a warranty or extended warranty, just visit your local Honda dealership. Otherwise, here are the instructions:

Since it won't close, you have to remove the center pocket assembly and try tightening the 2 screws (one on each side), if that doesn't work, you may have to replace it.

1. Removing the center pocket assembly is shown in step 5 of this audio installation instructions:

2. Tightening the 2 side screws (one on left and one on right) are shown as Procedure B of this TSB: http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/Ho...827_pocket.pdf

Default Center Pocket

The issue was the door was stuck closed and how to release it.
Step 5 of the procedure indicates two screws as if they are exposed. My 2006 Accord has no such screw.

Perform step 4 first (to expose the 2 screws) before step 5.
