2007 accord tires

RE: 2007 accord tires
In some cases that's true.... it will make your speedometer read wrong, and if it increases the weight to much then you won't notice any better fuel economy. Those factors aside I believe you can get an inch maybe two taller in there.... I'm not as familiar with the 07 model tires but what I would suggest is figure out where you want to buy the tires from and ask their techs, because if you go in there and request that they sell you and install tires that are 2 inches bigger and they do it, then you have problems they're going to tell you that it's your problem they just did what you asked....

putting tires that are significantly different than stock can result in unwanted handling characteristics and possibly compromise the safety of the car as VSA and ABS may not function properly.
IF you are so concerned about gas milage, sell your car and buy a honda fit..seriously

Lots of places won't even put anything on your car butthe size that is reccomended for the specific car. YeuEmMaiMaiis also correct you will probably ending up spending more money in the long run because the difference in tire size will mess with your suspension, steering, brakes, etc.

General recommedations are to stay within 3% of the OEM tire size to avoid the aforementioned problems. If youvisit the coopertires.com website you can access the tire specs chart under the passenger tires page. It gives overall diameter and cross section measurements of all the tire sizes.
A shameless plug: I love the new CS4, awesome tire. I moved up from a 195-65-15 to a 205-60-16 and stayed within a 1/2" OD of the original, which equates to 1/4" more radius.

RE: 2007 accord tires
The cheapest and best thing to do is to stick to OEM size for gas mileage and price of tires/rims. You do not necessarily need to stick to OEM Michelin's because there are many great tires out there that knock the socks off Michelin's in all-weather performance. (example of this is the GoodYear Triple-Tread). Just get the stock size. I wanted a little bigger tire on my stock rim on my 98 Camry V6 so instead of putting on 205/65/15 I put on 215/60/15 a rare size, but the car sticks to the road like glue and I get the same gas mileage. The wider, shorter tires were about $15 more per tire to buy, but my handling was greatly improved. Who knows if you can do that on an Accord and not have the tire rub......

RE: 2007 accord tires
You can improve your mileage slightly by inflating the tires a little more. I run my 2006 Accord sedan 3 pounds higher than listed. I won't go the total hypermileage thing and set them to max listed on the tire. This along with some changes in my driving habits have netted my about 10% to 15% better mileage.....JK
