Default 2007 Accord Trunk VULNERABILITY

HELP.

I have an 2007 Accord EX and the trunk has been broken in to 3 times. In all 3 instances I was parked for less then 30 minutes and there were NO signs of forced entry. Now how the HECK is an average kid able to pop my trunk so quickly. Is this model prone to this problem? What's the trick so I can fix this! So angry about it.

How can I make the trunk more secure? They obviously don't have a radio transmitter or they'd get inside the car and steal items like my laptop.

Ideas?

Thanks

If they are picking the lock or somehow able to access the latching mechanism, I am not sure what they you can do.

Try following the cable that attaches to the trunk latch to see if there is an easy place to access that cable from outside of the car.

You may want to stop by a locksmith and ask them about this problem. Maybe they know a vulnerability or can detect how this is happening.

I they are using a shaved key.
Doesn't work for newer Honda ignitions but still works for doors and trunk

There is NO KEY HOLE (just noticed this) I have a 2007 Accord EX-L Sedan 4 cyl and never needed to manually turn a key to get in the trunk so I haven't ever cared. That's nice and secure but doesn't seem to be helping in my case. hehe

If they were using a shaved key they'd of taken my $800 rader detector and laptop which were visable in the main cabin. Since the trunk has no key access.

Very baffling!!

Do you have a remote for this car? I've read a few posts where having the remote in your pocket, or purse for women, the buttons will get pressed and "open windows" and that.......just an idea, way out on a limb.
