Question 2007 Honda Accord A/C & Heater quit working

The entire heating and cooling system in my 2007 Honda Accord abruptly quit working. The compressor and fan motor do not come on. I assumed this was an electrical problem so I changed the A/C relay switch in the fuse box under the hood with no diferent results. Any body know what to check next?

Did you change out a fuse, or did you change out the blower transistor?

Do the lights on the control panel work? Is this just a problem where the blower is not working?

Go to the common DIY thread on top of the gen tech help forum and follow the instructions in the link for checking HVAC codes on the 04-07 accords. Post the HVAC code(s) on here.

Default 2007 Accord A/C not working

I changed the A/C relay switch. Still nothing works. If the compressor came on but the fan blower wasn't working then I would focus only on the blower. I assume that even if the blower did not work the compressor would still at least turn on? The control panel lights all work.

Many times the AC will not run if the system does not detect the blower being "on". Why run the compressor is the blower isn't on

So if you don't mind can we start with getting the blower working and then see what happens?

As asked already, does the control panel light up. Can you check for HVAC codes.

See a few transistors go bad. Do you have a volt meter to do some testing?

The control panel light does work (the green light on the a/c switch comes on). I went thru the proceedures to check the HVAC codes but was unsucessful. I tested the fuses in both the under the dash fuse box and the plugs in the fuse box under the hood and all are good. I'm wondering about the blower transistor that one of the threads mentioned. Where is it located and how can I test it? If this doesn't pan out my next stop is the dealer.

Hi Lefty,

I have 2007 Honda Accord. and I have very similar problem. AC won't work, no cold air. Blower is OK with different speed. battery is only one year old, other control works fine (radio, climate control, etc.). Freon was re-charged about 6-7 months ago. when it was re-charged, it worked for 2-3 months and it stopped working.

Did you ever figure out the problem?

Hello All,

I have this exact problem.
I thought I solved it when I installed a new transistor/resistor but after 10 minutes of enjoying my A/C the blower motor stopped working again.

Can someone please help me solve this problem. I have a multimeter but I am not sure how to use it correctly.

BTW, if I end up solving my problem I will post the working solution here. I think its only fair.

Thanks in Advance.
