Default 2008 Honda Accord headlight dimming

I bought a used 2008 Accord a month ago with 40,000 miles on it.
It is a 4 cylinder, 2.3 L.
I had noticed the headlights dimming in the morning but didn't think anything of it until I googled honda accord headlight dimming.
For some reason it appears it affects primarily the 2008 model and that Honda as usual says its normal.
I also read where a guy in Georgia was able to use the lemon law and make Honda buy it back.
Texas Lemon Law seems to indicate that it having a certified warranty may give reason to bring it under the lemon law if I pursued it.
However I would like to just fix it if possible.
I've heard that bigger batteries and new alternator do not help but maybe HID headlights do make a difference.
Also I may do the Big 3 ground wire upgrade and see if that helps.
Can anyone shed any more light on this issue?

Under what conditions do your headlights dim?

If just at idle, it might just be the way the alternator-control is programmed. The ECU can command the alternator to shut down completely, if the battery voltage is good and a few other conditions are met. Supposed to get you a tiny improvement in MPG.

The dimming of the headlights occur when the A/C or heater is operating. It is significant to the point that other cars can think you are flashing them.
This is well documented by other 2008 Honda Accord owners.
Bigger batteries and new alternators never help because the healights are programmed according to Honda's own admission to dim.
I will be pursuing a Texas Lemon law complaint to see if I can force Honda to repurchase the car. Two others in Georgia were able to do this.

Came across the same problem and it turned out to be the fuse box. The control is built into the box and you just have to replace it.

flickering or
dimming, tell them about the ELD unit and how it
works. Unless the engine won’t crank, or the vehicle
has other symptoms of a weak battery, chances are the
flickering or dimming isn’t an electrical problem.

(ELD) unit in the
under-hood fuse/relay box. This unit allows the
ECM/PCM to regulate the alternator (switch it
between high output and low output) to provide the
best combination of fuel economy and electrical
system operation.

" they control, and said nothing solution was misunderstood to be a recall..."

?????

there are a few recall and update for the 08 since they were the first to have VCM. the thing they did to make the car get hi MPG is to limit the load on the motor by having the alternator switch modes. this is where the dimming come in because it dose not switch fast enough. I only noticed mine dim on start up.

Check list
have the alternator checked
have the EDL cheched

Default 2008 Accord LX

I've been looking for months for a solution to this one. I have an Optima Yellow top...that really didnt do anything except help the car crank over stronger. Are we still SOL on this one for 2008 I4 Accords? Recalls?

I would install an HID kit, but are the non-projector housings a serious problem?

Hello, I too am experiencing the same problem. I just purchased a used 2008 Honda Accord LX on July 22, 2013. I noticed at night the lights would flicker approximately every minute to two minutes. I have been looking for a solution to this problem. I saw here that I am supposed to do something in the fuse box. What control is it that I have to replace in the fuse box? Sorry if this question sounds dumb.
