Default 2008 Honda Accord stalls while driving

I have a 2008 Honda accord coupe (113k miles) that suddenly stops working while driving. This seems to happen randomly. You are driving and suddenly it stops. It is sometimes once or twice a week. Once it stops it starts again without a problem. Took the car to the Honda dealer, they drove the car 40 miles but could recreate the stalling. They returned my car and told me that they don't know what was wrong and charged me $75 for diagnostics. I check the ignition switch but does not seem to be the problem. It is my son's car, he seems to recall that the battery light comes on when it stalls. This is dangerous because of the loss of power steering control.

Any suggestions?

Pay close attention to what happens on the dash when the car stops. Does the dash behave like when you turn the key to the II position, where you have some beeps and the check engine light does the 2 second bulb check? You can also start the car to get the engine running in park and try shaking the key to see if your car stops running.

Thanks, I will. I have started the car and shaked the keys. I also drove around my neighborhood while i was shaking the key but it did not happen..

It happened today as I was coasting into a stop. The car just shut down and the battery light and oil light came up. I restarted and ran again with no problem.

Make sure the all ends of both battery cables are secure and making good contact. Your description does sound like the electrical portion of the ignition switch is faulty.
