2008 Honda Accord Shuts down while driving
My 2008 Honda accord sedan shutdowns while driving and starts back up immediately after coasting down.. I noticed earlier the ignition was getting stiff and difficult to insert or remove key. Got that serviced and key goes in and out freely now. I also noticed car would sometimes shut and immediately pick up again. You see the dash lights blink and goes off in a flash.
Any help please. I'm new here and don't know if this issue has been discussed here before .
Thanks

Is it a hybrid? The way you describe it sounds like it. It may also be helpful to give information on your vehicle like 2008 Honda Accord EX V6 3.0 Litter 180,000 miles, etc..
I would first check the battery and make sure both the Neg and Pos terminals are on tight.

There are only a few things that can cause total loss of electrical power to your car. Loose battery connections, dying alternator/loose connection, bad/loose fusible link, and bad ignition switch. You will probably need professional help if all the obvious checked out.
Follow the neg cable to its termination point on the car frame and make sure it is not rusted and is on tight.
Follow the Pos cable to the main fuse and fusible link.
Feel the connections on your alternator and make sure they are not loose. Have auto shop (like autozone, Advanced auto) to test your battery and alternator. Hence, they usually will test them for free.
