I have a 2010 Accord LX which I bought in October 2009. Less than a year later, I began noticing that the rubber seal on top of the driver and passenger doors was wearing. It looks like it is eating away at different spots. With the car being so new, I was just curious if anyone else has seen the issue. I'm guessing it's a bad batch of rubber? I took it to the dealership, and the service guy told me that grasshoppers were eating the rubber. I'm not really believing that as I have owned a 2004 civic and a 2002 accord with no issues to the door seals. Any thoughts?

Call Honda's USA Customer Service hot-line & ask whether the story about grasshoppers is legit or the guy's blowing smoke. I haven't heard that one.
