top middle display only shows time, and radio. These must be a way to get compass, and temp...without navi. anyone? oh yeah, sports model, 4dr.

There is no hack. The Audio/HVAC display unit is a different part, as well as the Audio Unit and other necessary parts for it.

 

...if its an HVAC/ audio display...why do I ONLY get radio, and time. Its such a waste it seems, and so very prominent, with like wow nuthin there duh?

BUt I recall in my 74 civic, some very clunky parts, barely there at all LOL
I guess they yet leave something to be desired huh? THANKS!
