Default 2010 EX performance

Hi folks, Im new here. Moderators please re-route to the correct forum
I have a 2006 Accord LX-SE with the 164 HP iVTec 4 cyllinder. This car has awesome performance for the kind of engine. I just love it. The 2010 Accord EX has the 190 HP 4 cylinder engine. The performance is just not as good as the 2006. That of course seems to not make sense given the 2010 has more HP than the former. Can anyone validate this observation, is there an isolated issue with the 2010? All the reviews seem to suggest adequate acceleration for the 4 cylinder.

Thanks in advance

2006 = 7th-generation
2010 = 8th-gen

I bet the 2010 is heavier even for same model. Plus the EX probably has more stuff (sunroof, power seats, etc)

But I can't validate the observation 'cause I've never driven an 8th-gen Accord.

So this post can remain in this forum? Perhaps it can be re-directed to get exposure to people who may know real answers

I'll move it to Gen.Tech but I think you already duplicated it over there. If that one doesn't have any answers I'll delete it.
