2010 Wheels fit on 2006?
Hey guys,
Hopefully I'm posting this in the right area, this is actually my first post to a forum ever. (applause).
Anyway - found a set of original accord wheels on ebay. They're from a 2010 accord coupe. I've got a 2006 accord coupe and was wondering if they will fit without issues?
As far as I can tell the specs are:
2010 accord wheels are: size: 17", width = 7.5 with 55mm offset, tire size = 225/50/17
2006 accord wheels are: size: 17", width = 6.5 with 45mm offset, tire size = 215/50/17
They are both 5x114.3 I think, so again question is will I have any issues or will the 2010 accord wheels just bolt on and I can drive away?
(p.s. i called a dealership and they said no, because the brake setup is different, however they seemed like they didn't know and after asking around just gave me the answer to make me hang up the phone).
Appreciate any help! thanks!

Does YOUR car have those 17x6.5 ET45 wheels?
The outboard face of the 2010 wheels will be about 3mm farther outboard. That's pretty small, so not to worry about rubbing against the fenders.
But the INBOARD face of the 2010 wheels will be about 22.7mm (7/16") farther inboard. That's enough to worry about. Can you crawl under & look how much clearance you have between the tire sidewall & the springs, shocks, or any suspension pieces??
An alternative is to go on tirerack.com & go through the motions of buying rims for your car. If they list any 17x7.5 wheels with 55mm offset as acceptable choices, then you're OK.
