I previously drove Acura TL & Acura TSX. On a hot day when one put on the AC Auto it automatically started with AC Recirc and then switched off Recirc as the car got cool. With the 2013 Accord w/ Navi the AC goes to AC Recirc, but never switches to fresh air. I have to change it manually. It doesn't matter that the car has reached set temperature. When I change to fresh air, then Auto goes off. So, I either have Auto with Recirc or No Auto / Fresh air. Dealer & Honda cust svc don't have a clue. Is there a way to set the system so that it switches automatically to fresh air? Thanks.

 

Based on the owner's manual, if Auto climate control is on when the car is running, and you press any button (for example, fresh air), the function of that button takes priority.

The AUTO indicator will go off, but functions unrelated to that button will be controlled automatically.

Essentially, if you press to let fresh air in, even though the Auto indicator light goes off, it is still in auto climate control. Only if you press the On/Off button is auto climate control canceled.
