Default 2015 Acoord oil change

What synthetic oil would you recommend in a 2015 Accord V6?

Debate!

Don't take this wrong but asking what brand of oil to use will get you answers based upon........something.

Example.....what brand gas should I use, what brand of tooth paste should I use, what brand of toilet paper should I use.

I got over 385K on a Honda using "house brand" dino oil.....BTW, the car "left" because of driver error not because of an engine issue - the youngest figured out he could not take "that curve" at that speed. The Pilot has run "house brand" syn oil for it's last 120K - bought it with 40K - no issues to date.

Just my opinion, I'm sure there will be more.........congrats on the new ride

The 2015 Accord's recommended oil viscosity is 0W-20, which only comes in full synthetic or synthetic blend.

Practically any 0W-20 oil that has the API starburst certification mark on it should be fine. The important thing is to change the oil at recommended change intervals and check the oil level regularly. The Maintenance Minder calculates remaining oil life from the last time the minder was reset; but, does not monitor the oil levels or tell you if it is low.

I guess I should have asked synthetic or regular oil as that is what I wanted to know.

My bad....sorry. I didn't understand the question correctly.

As Redbull stated, use an oil with the proper weight and spec's (API) that the owners manual calls for. The "brand" of oil that fits those spec's is the "debate".

Again, sorry for not understanding the question properly. Sometimes I read too quickly and miss things...that is my fault and please forgive me....I meant no disrespect or anything by my post.
