with my 2014 Accord Sport, I have followed the 5k mi. interval for the first 40k. I will continue to do so until the powertrain warranty is up. i am not looking to give a dealership or Honda an excuse to not cover a failure. Car is awesome and zero issues. I will move to Mobil 1 oil and filters once the warranty is up. Until then, the dealer does the changes and has proof of service. i also did the 30k mi. services, for the same warranty reasons. after 5k mi. the oil life indicator is at 50% (2 months).

on my 2002 Camry, i just change oil twice a year, based on weather. it only logs 10k mi. per year and i'm mostly removing any water from condensation. I use Mobil 1 for that as well.
