Default 2017 Accord 2.4l

Hello everyone had a big storm a few days ago and got stuck in a big puddle car shut off got it home and turns out water made it’s way to the engine any input on how to proceed oil has been flushed and changed since would it be easier to try and fix it or get a new motor? Also what motor could I put in it if need would it have to be the same exact motor ? Thanks in advance

If water made it into the engine causing it to quit, odds are quite high the motor is toast and will need to be replaced. The correct engine for your car is called the K24W1; you can find replacement motors relatively near you by going to www.car-part.com and putting in either your VIN or the specific year and model of your car.

Have a compression test done, or better yet, a cylinder leakdown test; then you'll know for sure if your engine is toast (but my bet is it's done).
