hello
i have to replace the intake manifold. my spare manifold has those little holes above the injectors, and a vacuum outlet that goes to the iacv, which don't exist on my car. the injectors themselves from the spare manifold have those plastic caps whereas the original ones don't.
any idea why is the difference?
i thought of blocking the extra holes with propoxy or similar stuff.

The plastic caps on your original injectors are probably stuck in the original manifold.

Take a look at the intake manifold gasket you will use to reinstall. Does the gasket cover the extra hole in the intake above the injectors?

Can you use something from the original intake that would block the extra vacuum port?

 

there weren’t plastic caps. These injectors have different part number than the others and in the photos they don’t have the caps either.

 

What engine are we talking about here?

 

f20b5, it’s a middle east engine.
but the same applies in the usdm- dx models are like the one i got and the other models have those extra holes and caps.
