Default 87 LXi AC Controls & Blower Problems, Fuse?

Just got this thing and there are at least a dozen issues that need attention, but the AC is priority number one. First off, where can I find a diagram of the inside fusebox, since my cover is missing and I haven't been able to find it here or on the web. I downloaded the service manual, but haven't found it there either. Here's my symptoms.
No blower motor function. AC light comes on, so does the light for defrost and heat. The other lights work occasionally. I jumpered the AC compressor and it came on. Right off the bat I'm thinking the control panel, since the lights don't always work? Am I looking in the right direction on this?

Even though you listed the name of the car in the thread title, you may want to put it in your sig.

Also, if the AC is priority, do you live in Vegas? I've been out there all week, and am truly enjoying the furnace-like conditions.

Funny but I just got off the phone with a customer in Vegas. I'm in Texas, where it hasn't gotten over 100 yet this year (not complaining) but it will soon.

If blower motor won't run, the AC compressor won't engage. Blower motor fuse or motor is gone. Check for power to the blower motor, but I would guess the brushes are gone and a new blower will be necessary.

good luck

I'd check the fuse for the blower if I only knew which one it is. How many amps?

Try downloading a manual from http://www.hondahookup.com/manuals/. I think they cover your model.

Try checking for power to the blower first, as it's more likely the blower is kaput.

good luck

You were right about the blower motor, TexasHonda. Replaced it and now it blows, but compressor still not kicking in. I'm not sure what the next step troubleshooting this thing should be.

I grounded the low pressure switch and the fan and compressor both came on. Low on freon charge?
