Default 89 Accord LX Alternator replacement

Having some trouble replacing the alternator in my LX its an A20A1 engine ive disconnected the old bolts and all wires and its just trapped in the engine area and ive got no way to get it out. I replaced it some years ago myself without removing any axels or any major parts but cant seem to get it out now, any reccomendations?

Slide it across the back side of the engine....under the hoses that go to the heater core and out she comes...can't remember if it is the auto or manual trans cars where pulling the speedo cable helps? Sucks getting old. and no memory

If you have to, get a new hose for the lower port on the heater core and remove that hose.

Yes, fish it along the back side of the engine towards the pass side-past the oil fiter and that. Then from under the hood it will come out on the pass side....find the hoses going to the heater core, that is where she will come out of.

It would be nice if you coud take a pic or two....or reply back with details.

I go on memory on these. I know how I did it but it has been a long time since I actually did it.

The LXi, fuel injected, are stupid easy.....The DX and LX take a bit of work but trust me, I have done it, the alt comes out on the pass side by the hoses going to the heater core.
