Can someone tell me if the axle nut is left handed thread i have broke a 3/4 drive trying to get thiss thing off.

 

It's a right-hand thread.

There's a straight (non-threaded) collar on the outboard side of the nut, which is supposed to be staked down into a groove in the axle. Use a nail or something to pry that up & out of the groove; that should help out. Still, it's not real easy.
