I'm not going to say it starts to make sure we are the same page. I would say it makes the sputter noise like it is running but it doesn't even idle, just automatically dies now. Previous tries would run and hold an idle for a few seconds.

Unplug the electrical connector to the coil There should be a blk/yel wire going to the coil. When you have the key in the II position, does that wire have 12V to body ground?
I would reset the ECU by removing the 7.5 amp backup/radio fuse in the engine bay fuse box for a minute to clear any codes. Try to start the car, then recheck for codes. The long blink should be the first part of the code, so a code 43 would be LLLLSSS, and not be reversed. |
