Default 90 Honda Accord stereo/belt/clock issue

Hello I have a 1990 Honda Accord EX, 4 cyl., automatic. Recently I replaced the stereo unit in the vehicle. I didn't purchase an aftermarket harness but wired it in myself. In the process i blew a fuse and my stereo/clock/auto-seatbelt are all not working. I have replaced the fuse and checked over my wiring work and still have the issue.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You probably grounded a wire when wiring it up.

Which fuse are you blowing?

That fuse protects the yellow wire (it may be the yellow/red wire) that goes to your stereo. Make sure that wire is not grounded or plugged into the wrong spot on the new stereo.

As far as i can see down the wire there is no problem with the connection. I have a multimeter and I get nothing on either my switched or constant wires. Fuse is new and intact. Since clock and the automatic shoulder belt are also not working I am assuming it's not just the radio wires.

That fuse protects other circuits that feed off of the yellow wire. The problem is that you didn't mess with any of those circuits.

How did you wire up the new radio?

I clipped each wire from the connector and placed an insulated break-away connector. Then I did the same to the bare ends of the wires from the plug to the new stereo. Then plugged that in to the stereo.

Are you still blowing the fuse or is there another fuse blown, in the OP you said it blew and you replaced but not sure if it is still blowing....Keep_Hope_Alive????

No the fuse is intact along with all the others under the dash. Curious if I might have damaged something further down the wires than I can see, but I'm not sure how it could have happened.

Not good with 4th gen's, skipped them. If like the 5th, did you check the fuses under the hood. Then double check all of the wire that were cut/connected.
