90 Model AC problem

Default 90 Model AC problem

Just brought a 90 Accord having AC issue it push the button stalls engine . Also noise on start up.Can I just remove the belt looks like its a AC only belt.Also check engine with S light blinkingorder a speed sensoroff ebay.

Any ideas can i pull the belt and leave it off?

If that belt ONLY drives the compressor, then you're OK. Make sure whether the same belt drives the alternator.

same belt does drive alternator,,,it has 2 belts,,, 1 drives alt/a/c, the other the p/s pump ,,,,,,,,,sounds like the a/c compressor is locked up

what are the codes for engine and S lite ???

I got out there seen PS hose . Oh well guess compress well have to be changed.Also "S" light blinks and check engine on orderd a VSS will change it to see if the speedo works.

If that belt drives the alternator, then maybe you can get a belt for a 1990 Accord DX (doesn't have AC). That is, if you want to postpone fixing the AC...
