I have a 1992 Honda Accord EX, and it was leaking oil into the spark plugs. So I removed the engine cover, replaced the gasket, replaced the spark plugs, and the battery. I also washed my engine cover with water and let it dry and I don't know if thats the problem or not. Now my car doesn't start and it sounds like its chocking.

I had killed my last battery because I messed up with the spark plug gapping, so this time around I bought NGK Iridiums. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm thinking of shoving gasoline into the hole for the fuel injection line on the cover.

 

I am assuming engine is turning ( cranking ) but not firing ,, correct ??
when you replaced the plugs , did you remove the plug wires from the distr cap at all ?? Also you did not have to spend the extra money on iridium plugs, you car takes NGK ZFR5F-11 and they come pre-gapped.

also did you replace the upper spark plug seals that are located in the underside of the valve cover ?? there are 4 of them, when you say replaced the gasket i am not sure if you ONLY mean the valve cover gasket..if so, that won't help if you are getting oil in the spark plug tubes ( plug wires)

 

I haven't removed the plug wires from the distributor and I replaced the seals as well as the valve cover gasket.

So basically my engine cranks and doesn't fire.

 

You probably have water in the tubes causing arcing from the wire and creating a misfire. You need to remove the wire and get the water out with compressed air or something. Also, did you use dielectric grease on the new parts? You'll want to do that if you didn't. Finally, if you didn't change the lower tube seals (o-rings) the oil will return. Good luck.
