92 Accord Idles

Default 92 Accord Idles

I got a 92 accord with 136k miles on it When I start the car cold it seems like it"s got a very high idle almost 2 grand I let it run till it reachs operating Temp Them all so a sudden it starts to surge from 1500 to 2000 RPMS and when I put it in gear it's at 1400rpm ,That is too high There is no Check engine light can someone lead me in the right direction of where to look.

IACV... Located on the back side of the tb. It is dirty and needs to be either cleaned or replaced.

Be sure the coolant is full and block burped thru the 12mm bleed screw at the T-stat housing.
Then remove the top off he FITV Fast idle Thermal Valve; 2 phillips screws.

Inside you will see a nylon split screw with a brass cone sticking up thru the center; Turn the screw down a few turns.

When the engine is warm...[temp starting to show on the gauge], you SHOULDNOT hear air bypassing in the FITV.
