Angry 93 accord code 15

i got a code 15 and i attempted to change the mainshaft sensor. when i attempted to put another sensor in it wouldn't go in all the way. when i compared it to the one i removed i noticed it was a little longer than the one i removed. so i went to the junkyard and got a couple more and all of them were longer than the one that came out. so my question is are there different types of sensors for the 93 accord?

The longer sensor will not go in all the either.

Got any pic's. What do you know about the history of the car, possible trans swap in the past?

Is this a code recovered from D4 light flashes or Check Engine Light flashes?

There is code 15 from ECU and code 15 from TCU.

Have you checked resistance? It should be 400-600 ohms.

My 90 manual says TCU code 15 is NM speed sensor. Symptoms are hard shifts.

good luck

code from tcu. the resistance was between 400-600. my rpm is going close to 3500 to 4000 rpm's while i'm drving. i have to cut the engine for it to stop and start again after 3 or 4 miles. how do i insert a picture of the sensors?

Since NM speed sensor checks OK on resistance, the fault must be somewhere else, wiring, connector, or TCU.

Are you sure you removed the NM speed sensor?

good luck

Ok! I called the NC sensor the mainshaft sensor which was incorrect. But, I disconnected the NM sensor and my problem went away for now. I'm going to try and located another NM sensor at the salvage yard. By having the NM sensor unplugged will it cause any problems other than a flashing D4 light?

It's likely your torque converter won't lock up, which may affect gas mileage. If shifts are OK, the trans is using other information to set shift points.

Is same code set when NM sensor is disconnected?

good luck
