Default 93' Antenna issues

Hi, I broke my antenna on my 93 EX and unplugged it from my new stereo that i installed. Now i have put a new motor and mast in and when i turn the key to on position and the stereo comes on, the antenna does nothing.

What triggers the antenna? Is it the stereo coming on that sends a signal to the motor? And should all stereos with an antenna in slot work or will the antenna only work with the stock tape deck?

I tried searching for an answer to this problem but no mater what I do I cannot get the search feature to return any results to me.

Thanks in advance,
Zack

The stereo should have a hole or cord to plug the antenna cord into. The wiring harness for your stereo should have an antenna wire and and amp wire, both are usually blue and one has a white stripe on it. The deck sends a signal out when you switch the deck over to Tuner that raises the antenna.
