Default 94 to 96 parts swap?

Just curious if for example: exhaust, and spoiler, can be swapped from a 94 Honda accord to a 96 Honda accord. Haven't checked the motor on the 94 to see if they the same. But the body's are identical .

You should be able to swap spoilers on the 94/95 and the 96/97. IIRC, the paint was a different color on the tan accords, because I had a 96 spoiler with the "same color" for my 95 accord. Sold the 95 accord before I could do the installation.

What parts from the 94 exhaust are you putting on the 96? Or is it going from the 96 to the 94 accord? There are some differences in the catalytic converter (the 96 had an O2 sensor where the 94 did not). There is also a difference between the EX models vs the LX/DX models.

Keep in mind that the 94 is OBDI, and the 96 is OBDII.

Default From a 94 to a 96.

Exhaust from car back. Spoiler, cluster, and possibly window motors and rear bumper.

Cluster is different manual trans vs. automatic.

Not sure whether cluster is different by year, because of equipment that wasn't present in 94. For example if your 96 has ABS and the 94 cluster doesn't have an ABS lamp. Or maybe the 94 simply doesn't have a bulb installed in the ABS lamp socket. Look for silly little things like that.

I think they'll all interchange, but you need to watch for little things like Jim mentioned. My 97 Accord (same body) doesn't have ABS (it's an LX too) or it's added plumbing. Same applies to my 99 Accord, but it's the next gen body style.

As for the engine in the 94, I believe they are the same, but with more electronics on the 96 for the OBDII monitoring.
