Default 94 accord blows coolant hoses

Earlier this week the bottom rad hose had a hole so I replaced it and last night my temp started to move up and I shut the car off to see the top rad hose leaking. I changed it today along with a new cap bled the system properly and added coolant. Drove around temp was good no leaking. Came to a red light and seen smoke from my hood coming from radiator area. Nothing's leaking just smoke. I let pressure out by losining te rad cap and heard bubbling in the resivoir. Bad radiator or something else ?

I'm back to the bleeding, please re-check.

Was the temp up when you came to the light or was there just the steam?

Maybe excess radiator fluid splashed around on things when you were replacing your parts. If you still have the smoke..hose it off at the carwash and see if that does it...

Temp was fine at the light. I can try to re bleed it again.

Suggest a cold pressure leak test and/or a chemical test of coolant. Suspect a head gasket leak allowing combustion gas into coolant.

good luck

I guess any things possible. Car doesn't overheat just when the hose blew other than that temps normal

If temps are remaining normal, keep an eye on it, then the steam could be from the "left over" coolant under the hood....that stuff will spray every where.

Again, I'd run it more to steam off the fluid, keeping en eye on the gauge.....and drive.

If overheating during stops, suggest changing the thermostat. Sometimes they will constrict opening at speed to maintain temperature, and then fail to open when stopped leading to overheating.

good luck

I also noticed that it takes a lot longer for my temp gauge to come up to temp but it stays at the normal running temp
