If your 94 is the same as our 92, no, it is not reverse.

I too am trying to remove that crank bolt (to fix an oil leak). I just bought (Harbor Freight) a 625 lb. 1/2" air impact gun and a 5.6 SCFM@90 air compressor, and some impact deep wells, $200 cheap. I got the crankshaft holding toll on ebay for $28. I've never used air tools before- wish me luck!!

Good luck!! Hold on tight. The first time I used an impact wrench, I damn near broke my wrist lol. And since then I have always used two hands.

thanks for the advice. Should I brace the motor to protect the motor mounts?

You don't need to brace the engine. The torque exerted by the engine through the mounts to the chassis of the car during normal operation is far greater than anything that relatively tiny little toy wrench will exert.

You can at first try removing the bolt without the holder. The holder will be more useful when you tighten the bolt upon re-assembly.

Don't be surprised if the bolt doesn't spin out right off the bat. If it doesn't, just let the wrench pound away for awhile. Don't lose hope - it WILL eventually loosen.

You should have an air compressor with enough capacity to drive the wrench for at least a couple of minutes of full-power operation. Unfortunately, I think a pretty big unit is required to do that.

Good luck, and please post your results.
