I think the green connector is Temp Sensor B. The one with the black connector is the coolant temp sensor that the ECU uses.
I think you're right. The grey/black connector to the left in the picture is the ECU water temperature.

Still, the one that's in the red-line box (one-wire) is for the dashboard gauge only.
