Default 94 accord lx turn signal flasher problems

Hi. I'm not sure if this was answered here but before my turn signal would keep clicking when not in use. It would do a fast pace click continuously. So I looked it up and it was the flasher that had to be replaced. I replaced the flasher with a new one but now I get a non stop buzzing. Does anyone have any type of help or had this issue solved?

I'm a bit confused by your post. When you say a flasher was replaced, do you mean that a turn signal bulb was replaced?

The constant clicking is not due to a burned out bulb. When a bulb burns out, the turn signal will flash quickly when turned on. There should be no sound when the turn signal is off regardless of burned out bulbs.

First, check that the turn signals are actually working. Also test the hazards, because that uses the same circuit as the turn signals.

I don't want to suggest replacing parts, because this could be caused by the turn signal switch, the turn signal/hazard relay, or possible the hazard switch.

The hazard switch assembly pries out of the dash (there is a slot under it to pry it out). Then unplug. Does the noise go away?

The other thing you can try is to remove the turn signal switch, open the casing, clean out the old dielectric grease, then put some new dielectric grease in there.

I replaced the turn signal flasher. The small black box that goes under the dash on driver side near some fuses. I ended up returning it and keeping the old one. I will try reinstalling the turn signal switch to see if it makes a difference.

Welcome to HAF! I too am a little confused. Are the blinkers working when the switch is off? If so there is a short some place. You can test the combination light switch (the switch you move for your turn signals). With the key in the off position, remove the lower dash cover, locate to 20 pin connector and disconnect. With the switch in the off position, check for continuity between terminal 9 and 7 which is your right turn signal, there should be no continuity with the switch off and with the switch on there should be. Then do the same test between terminals 9 and 8. Again with the switch in the off position there should not be continuity. If either of the test result in continuity with the switch in the off position then the switch is bad, replace. If all tests pass then the short is some place else, so start hear and chase it back. Good luck.
