Default distributor

can only be installed one way, the slot in the camshaft and the part on dist are off set, so thats not a issue, id take a close look at the coil, perhaps thats the culprit theres not much else if its a ignition problem

forgot to mention, i dont know where your parts are coming from but regardless its possible the igintor you bout is also bad, id go through the test procedure and see if you can isolate the problem also look carefullty at the wireing, honda had some poor soldering problems as well. id check the codes and the wireing . not much help i know but its worth a shot

Thanks for the response. Before I got FAllens response I verified that the distributor is at TDC, and it was. I rechecked the fuel pressure, and after two key cycles, it built up to 40+ PSI. Got the timing light out again and verified all cylinders now light the light. The battery is getting low so I'm charging it tonight. Tomorrow, I plan to pull each plug and check for a spark. Does this sound like another bad Ignition Control Module, a coil issue, or maybe due to sitting in oil, a spark plug issue?

Thanks again for the help!

If all 4 cylinders are lighting up the light, then you got spark back to the plugs.

Make sure that you plugged the spark plug wires in the correct order on the distributor cap. Start at cylinder 1 (about 7 o'clock) and by going clockwise, the order should be 1, 3, 4, 2.

Thanks to everyone! I went out this morning and double checked the spark plug wiring and sure enough, I had cyl 3 & 4 reversed. Once I fixed that, it fired right up. I'll check the timing today and give it a road test.

Just as a follow up, my teenage daughter asked my what was replaced on the Honda to get it working again. I said "Ignition Control Module, Rotor, Distributor Cap, Wires..." to which she said.... "English Dad.." So I told her "The Sparker" and she was happy.
