just purchaced a 94 accord. It seems as if second gear is missing.All the other gears seem to work fine.how ever the fluid smells pretty foul.

For starters on your problem, are we talking about an AT or MT?

If AT, start by draining/replacing ATF w/ Honda ATF.

Also, is D4 light blinking? If yes, get the trans control unit codes w/ procedure for engine codes, but D4 light will blink rather than Check Engine Light. See DIY forum for guidance.
