94 honda accord ex

Default 94 honda accord ex

My 94 accord starts and immediately stalls at times. It seems to happen when it is extremely hot or it rains. I have replaced the distributor,cap,rotor,wires, and the main relay. What could be my problem BE

electr part of ignition switch............when it acts up, start car , don't let go of the key,
hold key ( back off ) slightly off the starting spot see if car stays running

Thanks i will be sure to try that as soon as it acts up again.everything that i replaced except for the main relay definately needed it

The prelude and accord are similar in some ways, so someone should be able to help.

I have tried the key thing it doesnt seem to make a difference at all i was driving it this morning and it just cut off and started doing the same thing if i try to start it, it will start and immediately shut off if i dont turn the ignition off, it doesnt even try to start but if i turn the ignition off then try again, it starts and immediatley shuts off anybody please help this car is driving me nuts!

If you can get the car to stall out by shaking the key when the engine is running, then replace the electrical portion of the ignition switch.

It has to be something other than the ignition switch i have remote start which bypasses the ignition switch and it still starts and immediately shuts off. New find- car starts then loses injector pulse. Cycle the key, car starts then loses injector pulse. If you ever get the car running it runs great.

What brand of remote starter do you have? Does your accord also have a security system?

The brand of remote start is a viper alarm security system.
