I'd start with checking the bulb socket to see if there is rust or something else going on inside it.

[QUOTE=jimbeem;373183]turns out that the correct number is 3496. Napa gave me a Wagner 3496 but it's backwards from the 3496 burnt out. Why do you think that is I shaved off the ***** and turn it the other way it works it's just backwards

Any evidence that there's been any splicing of wires to that socket? Maybe wires were swapped from a repair??

Default My accord

I should tell everyone that I found out what the problem was. The 3496 bulb that Napa sold me was made in reverse. I went to Bond auto and they sold me a 3496 that works just fine thanks for the replies

Wow, I would think that a reversed bulb would have a different type-number.

Was the Wagner bulb made in China? I guess your Honda doesn't speak Chinese.
