Default 95 Accord EX-H22A swap help

Hello all,

Putting an h22a in my 95 ex. Everything is fine so far, just wont turn over, cranks but wont start. ECU supplied by hmotorsonline. My question is what could it be? everthing is hooked up. my h22a came with an internal coil dizzy and my ex had the same one. do i still need to modify wires? even swapped the resister box for the h22a one. any insight would be appreciated!

First test would be to see if its getting spark, second test would be to see if its getting fuel.

My buddy who is a mechanic is working on it with me. It is getting fuel, just no spark. Just trying to start the process of elimination. Since I have an 95 ex, the internal coil h22 should work fine, correct?

If that is the wiring harness you are using then it is fine, the ECu does not care which one you use just as long as all the wires are connected.

Check that the blk/yel wire to the distributor has 12V when the key is in the II position.

I would also check for engine codes. See the link in the common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum.

I'd also check the main ground (g101) on the end of the tb - at least that is where it is on the stock engine...

Maybe this is too big a question but here goes:

how much should i pay to have an H22a swap done for my 95 LX (i assume it needs the corresponding transmission). i'm new to honda accords. i've had and done everything to toyota trucks for the last 20 years. i can do anything on those. if hondas are as easy to work on as toyotas with the 22re, i could do it my self.

If you can do "anything" with Toyota's....the Honda shouldn't be that much different. Just add that it is a front wheel drive.
