Exclamation 96 Accord EX

When i drive my car and have my foot pedal on the gas for too long my check engine light flashes constantly. Whats the cause? So I was driving my car and the check engine light kept flashing and i noticed it act wierd when i drove it after a few stop lights it died on me. Then tried to start it up again and it wouldnt start up. It was cranking and everything but just wouldn't start. Then got it towed to the shop and got it checked they said it was the distributor. Got that replaced. Then now its repeating the whole process over again! So I check if it was the alternator by taking starting the car and taking off the negative cable on the battery and the car was still running so it's not that. Then I took of the distributor cap and it still looked brand new to me. So I'm clueless PLEASE HELP ME!

you need to give it more than a few minutes.

take to autozone - pull the codes or read how to do it yourself in the DYI section of this website.

There is no way for us to guess, get the codes read.
When it stalls and won't re-start, is the battery dead?
If it cranks w/no start, is there voltage to the plugs?
If no volts to the plugs, check the primary for 12v
