I used a 2001 DX belt....

ya i just called napa and asked for the alternator belt and said no a/c and you can leave the compressor but still run a diff belt, the clearance is minimal but enough XD

Why would you want to leave the compressor? Then you are gaining like .3hp and still have 50lb of dead weight.

lol, the drag created when you drive with ur windows open is more dedimentary than having A/C... i learnt that AFTER i removed it. darn my BCIT teacher!

idk about that........i mean i haven't used ac in a long time, but it puts a huge strain on your engine(and weighs a lot). Not that You ever race with the AC on or your windows down.

you think this would work for me?

i have thought about just going up to autozone and asking them for a belt for my same car except no a/c but thats seems like it would be too easy.

how do i measure the length i need?

That's exactly what a DX belt is. Generally for most years, Accord DX is the stripper version without AC.

so a 96 accord dx belt is all i need?

how do i measure to make sure?

take your old belt, cut it, then place it on just the alternator and mark where it would be right. then measure the length.
