Default 96 Accord,Front-side Corner Parking Lights?

I did a search and did not find anything.

The light bulb is blown on my parking light next to the headlamp.I only see one phillips screw to remove the lens from the top,but cannot find anything more to take the lens out far enough to change the bulb.

What else needs to come off to access the bulb to change it?I figured I would ask before taking everything apart until I figured it out,and thats the loong way.

I got it,never mind folks.Book I found,It says to take the one phillips screw off the top, then slide the lens housing fwd.

I did that and Am pissed off though. Will need a new lens housing.Every plastic tab that holds the lamp to the car broke off.It was all brittle from age.I used the utmost care and could hear everything cracking slowly as I pulled the housing fwd.

Oh well!

I think you need to remove the bumper-skin in order to remove the lamp housing. But look for a way to get the bulb socket from the back. Maybe through the plastic inner-fender lining? I haven't owned a '96, but I think that's how you get the corner bulbs in '98+.

I got to looking closer, and I found the reason some of it broke off...the lens was hit on the outside once,by another car in the parking lot or something, but did not break the outer lens, just scuffed and cracked it in one spot. Was not bad enough to where I needed to replace it.

When I got to looking, there were other cracks behind the lens though the body of the lens, that were super fragile. Now I see why it was even easier for it to break away.
