in the last couple of weeks I started having an intermittant miss from my car.. which has gotten worse to the point It sounds like its almost backfiring through the throttle body as the rpms get to about 3-4k then you hear a sneeze sound under hood and the tach drops to about 1000 then goes back up... The engine is a f22b1.. I did a full tune up 6k miles ago.. plugs/ wires, cap/ rotor, fuel filter, pcv valve, air filter.. etc. I thought it might have been bad gas but I ran it till almost empty, put some fuel injector cleaner in it.. and no better.. I ran that out and I'm on my 4th tank of gas now.. and every day it gets slightly worse.. the car shakes at idle.. but no CEL light.. this couldn't come at a worse time.. this is our backup car and our other car is broke now as well.. any ideas would be appreciated

 

first thing to check is that your iat sensor connector is not swapped with your iacv connector....also check that your map sensor and tps sensor connectors aren't swapped

if those check out I would say to check to see if your cat is clogged
